The much-anticipated Xiaomi Mi Notebook is finally here! True to its speculations, Xiaomi Mi Notebook looks similar to Apple Macbook and even it’s naming is much like the entry-level MacBook series, MacBook Air.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air Specifications
Xiaomi launched two models of Mi Notebook Air- a 12.5-inch display variant and 13.3-inch variant.
Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch
The 12.5-inch carries a price tag of Rs 35,200 approx., measures 12.9mm and tips the weighing scale at just 1.07kg. It is packed with 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, Inter Core M3 processor, 1USB 3.0 port and has no dedicated GPU chip. On the positive side, it also comes with free one SATA slot just like its higher-end model, but again that slot can be used only by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch
The 13.3-inch model priced at Rs 50,300 approx. is more powerful than the 12.5-inch model as it runs on Inter Core i5 6200U Skylake-U processor and is coupled with Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU having 1 GB GDDR5 RAM. It also has 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB SSD, 2 USB 3.0 ports, along with one free SATA slot and has a 40Wh battery that provides a battery backup of up to 9.5 hours. This model weighs 1.28 kg.
The laptops will be available in Silver and Gold color variants.
So far Indian consumers have shown positive response towards China-made mobile phones & notebooks. It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air captures Indian market or not.
