Kerala is an ideal travel destination and is famous for its green pastures as well as beautiful landscapes. It’s truly the God’s own country and it’s absolutely charming in all seasons. Beaches, hill stations and forest are some prime destinations here that attracts tourists. Kerala is also famous for the Ayurvedic rejuvenating treatments that greatly helps to revive body from stress and allows you to relax. Be it with your family or friends or even a corporate holiday this place should not missed out.

Alappuzha

Once you have Kerala you should not miss out the mesmerizing backwater cruises. Alappuzha scenic beauty with backwaters, lagoons, canals and beaches make it key tourist destination. It is truly the Venice of the East and you can see vacationer’s often hiring houseboat that take you around the backwaters of Alappuzha as well as the beautiful city. Actually you can get a better view of this place by a hiring a boat and going around through the lakes and canals.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

The Periyar wildlife sanctuary is covered with thick forests and is located bordering the river Periyar. It is situated with the high ranges of the Western Ghats which include the Cardamom Hills as well as the Pandalam Hills. This sanctuary has been a protected property and it was sanctioned as National Park in 1982.It has a total area of 925 km2 and is quite popular as it is an elephant as well a tiger reserve

Thrissur

Thrissur is called the cultural capital of Kerala and you have many religious centers here. The famous Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy, Kerala Lalithakala Akademi and Kerala Sahitya Academy are all located here.Some of the famous temples located here are the Guruvayur temple, Vadakunnathan temple and the Paramekkavu Bagavathi Temple. You also have many churches and mosques too. Our Lady of Lourdes Syro-Malabar Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral, Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and the Chettiyangadi Hanafi Mosque can be spotted here.

Munnar

Munnar is located at an altitude of about 6000 feet and is popular hill station of vacationers. It is located in the Idukki district of Kerala and promises to fascinate its visitors with its flora as well as fauna. Temperature in summer vary from 19°C to 35°C.Some of the destinations include Anamudi Peak, Mattupetty Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Hill View Park.

Kollam

Kollam also popularly known as Quilon has the famous seaport located here. It’s famous for the coir manufacturing industries as well as cashew nut processing. It’s a quieter getaway place and some of prime suburban regions include Kottiyam, Kundara and Chavara.

Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary

The Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary is truly a nature’s abode with large stretches of green landscapes, waterfalls, valleys and more. The sanctuary covers an area about 285 square km with a recent addition of 391 square kilometers as part of initiative for Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. It is the home for many endangered animals and it has been conserved quite well with negligible human intrusions. This reserve is significantly important and it was declared one of the World Heritage site by the Team of World Heritage Committee.

Kumarakom

Kumarakom is famous for its backwaters and tourism industry has greatly prospered here. Set against the Vembanad Lake this place is beautiful and its backwater cruises is a wonderful experience. The tropical climate of the region is perfect and is apt for agriculture. One highlight of this place is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary that is habitat for many rare species of birds.

Wayanad

Wayanad is known for the dense forests, valleys and ridges that lie within it.It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers as well as vacationers. The temperature is pretty cool here and in summer temperature vary from 20°C to 36°C.Some of the famous attractions here is the Edakkal Caves, Kuruva Dweep, Pookot Lake, Thirunelli Temple and Soochipara Falls.
