How Do India Calling Cards Work?

Calling cards are physical cards (credit card shaped) that can be bought online or from local stores that sell them. They have number sequences printed on them. After buying calling cards you need to call up their toll-free numbers to activate the card. This requires you to call up a number and punch in some number sequences as printed on the card. This activates a certain amount of calling time (depending on what you bought) that you can use to call India from USA.

To call India from USA using a calling card, you have to dial the specified number, punch in the code (as mentioned on the card or as instructed) and then dial the target number. Most cards offer detailed instructions while activating the service and they are mostly printed on the calling card. It’s easy for anyone to find out the process.

  • Dial91 and Tel Can are $0.011 which is 1.1 cents / min. You may want to correct your article which says they cost 0.011 cents / min.

    • Card not working. Moved website 7-15 which I was notified by email and now they are nowhere to be found on the web. I had no service with card since yesterday. Phone number to service helpline is engaged.

Rules where changed without notification and now money has to be added 1/year. They just deleted my account earlier this year with $50 on it as I had not added anything for 12mo.

I had their service for 14 years – before it was Supertel and they always gave bonus minutes those times are long gone.
