Automatic rotis is probably every abroad living Indian’s dream machine. And that machine looked pretty slick too – kudos to their design team.

So, anyways this product is called Rotimatic and it’s a Singapore based startup. They weren’t available in the USA but now are.

I just got this email from the founder. Check it out!

  • Hi, I have been thinking of buying it, since I have recently shifted to Sharjah, UAE. I am a compulsive roti-eater, my food is just incomplete without it. Should I buy it? And any idea how much it will cost to me if I order it here?

  • Very interesting. Rotimatic price in USA is more than the retail price because of the logistics. Do you think it’s worth it because I have been reading some questionable reviews? What’s your final take after having used it?

    • Hi Rouland,

I think it depends on you to decide whether it is worth or not. If you need rotis daily, no doubt it is an asset. Most Indian folks I know would love to have one at their homes as it supposedly saves them a lot of time. You’d never be satisfied with the rotis btw as they’re just too perfect and is no match with the hand made rotis. However, given the time it saves, it is probably worth it.

I believe the $999 + logistics price however is too much for such a product. I hope they figure out logistics etc and bring it down to actually make it viable.

Rotimatic sort of is an elite product at the moment and I personally is not happy with it.

      Hope that helps.
