Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Review – A Luxury Sedan for Indian Roads!
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is the new sedan from Maruti. It looks very impressive with unique style and is perfectly suited to the Indian buyers. It replaces the SX4 and is competing against models like Honda City and Hyundai Verna. It is launched in both petrol as well as diesel models and looks appealing with its latest technology. The petrol model cars are names as VXI, VXI+, ZXI and ZXI+ and the diesel models are VDI, VDI+, ZDI and ZDI+.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Features
- The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has a 1.4-liter K14 petrol engine with a 92.5 PS of peak power. The diesel version comes in a 1.3-liter DDiS turbo diesel mill with a 90PS of peak power. Now the Honda City offers a more powerful model of 1.5-litre petrol engine with 118PS of peak power. Its competitor Hyundai Verna has two petrol variants of 1.4/1.6-litre that comes with a 106/121 PS of peak power. Its diesel version of 1.4/1.6-litre offers 90/126PS of peak power.
- Ciaz has a torque of 130Nm while that of Honda City is 145Nm.In this range the Hyundai Verna seems to be powerful with a 168Nm of torque for 1.6-litre engine.
- In fuel efficiency Maruti Suzuki Ciaz takes a lead with a mileage of 20.73kmpl.Now the Honda City offers a mileage of 17.8 kmpl while the Hyundai Verna comes in 17.43/17.01 kmpl for 1.4/1.6-litre engines respectively.
The exteriors of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz looks splendid from both the front as well as the rear. It’s bigger than its predecessor SX4 but when calculating its dimensions it differs on a small margin. It has a dimension of 4500mm x 1735mm x 1550mm and a wheelbase of 2500 .You can spot a 4 slate grille in the front bearing the Suzuki logo and the angular headlights which give it a stretched out look. It also features trapezoidal front grille and is completely based on the Ertiga platform. It has a premium look with its wide wheel arches, chrome door handles and it has a large rear bumper that comes with a reflector.
It’s a very comfortable car to ride in and it’s spacious enough for front as well back seat riders. The all beige interiors look classy and features music system with Bluetooth, A/C with climate control system and more. You can adjust all side view mirrors, all the four windows and centrally lock all doors with the array of buttons that lie on the driver’s side. It also comes with a hands free bluetooth connectivity that allows drivers to make calls even while they are driving.
The armrest is solid and is spacious enough to store things. The rear side holds cup holders and feature a A/C vent as well as a sunscreen curtain. The Z+ which is slightly higher priced comes with a ‘SmartPlay’ infotainment system that includes radio, Aux-in, iPod, SD card, integrated rearview camera for easy parking and smart phone connectivity. You can also opt for leather seats which is also available for premium packages. In terms of safety they have also provided for a ABS with EBD and dual airbags that ensure to protect the passengers as well driver on board.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz looks splendid with its exterior design and its interiors is truly comfy. The five speed manual box makes ride smooth and changing lanes can be done easily without any difficulty.Its models are priced between 7.25 to 10.25 lakh rupees and its perfect ride for the Indian roads.
