BSNL launches unlimited 3G plan for Rs 1099!

To survive the tough competition from private telecom companies, BSNL has announced a national unlimited 3G mobile data plan for just Rs 1099 and doubled the data usage limit is some existing plans.

As per the data released by TRAI BSNL added the highest number of subscribers in April 2016 for the third month in a row. BSNL is growing rapidly and increasing its customer base, thanks to its improved network coverage and attractive tariff plans. Here is the updated plan:

Price Free Bundled data Validity
Rs 1099 Unlimited without any FUP (Fair usage policy) 30 days
Rs 549 10 GB 30 days
Rs 156 2 GB 10 days

BSNL has been introducing new offers & plans to woo its customers. For instance last year, BSNL had also facilitated the customer by offering 80 percent cheaper voice tariff. It also introduced “Roaming free” offer whereby customers could use free voice call facility while in national roaming. To bring back the customers to use landline it also offered unlimited free calling from the landline during a specific time of the day.

With the price war going on between telecom companies it will be interesting to see new innovative plans and value added services given to the customers.Recently we saw similar price war between telecom majors- Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea- increasing their data usage limit in some of their 3G/ 4G plans by up to 67 percent to counter a threat from Reliance Jio which is offering 90 days free unlimited data and phone call service.

  • Nice to find a decent blogger with important messages and content. I am a heavy internet user with upto six devices connected at many times mostly for multimedia content and now going to buy an android TV and will be utilising multimedia streaming services, apart from Everywhere TV of TATA Sky. Right now I have Reliance Wifi Pod – 1100 postpaid plan for 5GB @1 MBPS as well as unlimited postpaid BSNL Landline @ 1 MBPS besides Airtel 4G Dataplans for my family mobile connection. I am willing to spend upto Rs. 1500 per month purely for data plans. What should be an ideal data plan adopted by me. This is purely for stationary home connection.
