This is good news for internet enthusiasts! The last few years have been amazing for Indian internet scene as more and more players have been either upgrading their services or coming up with better, cheaper plans. As for regular consumers like us, this is all good news as more competition means cheaper prices and better products.
BSNL, Reliance and AirTel were the three telecoms that were given the 4G spectrum license back in 2010, although BSNL is the only company that lagged behind others in gearing up it’s technology to meet 4G standards.
But if BSNL manages to launch 4G services in April, then we can expect some nasty competition in this area. BSNL, is known for their dirt cheap rates and setting the standards to compelling the competitors to lower their prices.
Moreover, 4G LTE will then be par with the speeds in US and more and more companies will come forward to offer 4G LTE services. At the moment, Jio and AirTel are enjoying sort of a shared throne in this segment.
Here’s sincerely wishing that BSNL launches their 4G internet services in 2017 and it brings down mobile internet prices while offering better services!
