The dull pain above the eye or deep within the head, which turns an energetic guy into a lumbering brute, is known as headache. The usual headache has nothing to do with the changing seasons or the cold, but is rather linked to tension, dehydration and stress.
So, how does one get rid of the same? Well, there are many ways in which you can get rid of a headache, but I would suggest you, more of a four step solution.
4 Tips to get rid of headaches
First – Knowing the source and symptoms: Knowing the source of the headache is of utmost importance. You would definitely be aware of things that are causing that pulsating feeling inside your head. Is it stress or is it lack of sleep? The answer to this would help you deal with the menace accordingly. Few of the other symptoms of headache include eye pain, blurred vision, nausea and difficulty in concentrating into things.
Second – Relaxation technique: If you are experiencing a headache, then there is a high probability that you are unable to concentrate on anything. Hence, it is better to darken the room, switch off every light, close all the doors and windows of the room and lie down for an hour or so. If you are good at breathing exercises, then you may do the same as it releases tension and helps you relax.
Third – Need for Water and Massage: Drinking water can often help you get rid of a headache as dehydration is also one of the poignant factors leading to the condition. Massage on the neck and near the lobes help you relax and improve the blood circulation to the brain. Thus, you may ask someone to give a small massage to you, to help you deal with the problem.
Fourth and last – Medicine and diet: Last but not the least, popping the usual pill is also of great comfort. However, taking medicines at the drop of a hat is not recommended at all. Instead try changing your food habits. This would definitely bring in a change and help you meet the purpose.
So, the next time you experience a discomfort in your head, you know where to look and what to do, to get rid of the headache. These are simple steps and have proven to be effective all these years. This is the sole reason why they are still in use by men and women all round the globe.
